Research Interest
His research activities deal with application of nanotechnology in remediation of heavy metals polluted soil. Various nano-particles; nano scale zero valent iron “nZVIâ€, nZVI-bentonite, nano alginate and nano carbon; are used as a potential sorbents to eliminate heavy metals from polluted soil. These nanoparticles are prepared in lab either using bottom-up or top-down methods, then characterized using transmission electron microscope (TEM). Also, these nano particles could be potentially used to decontaminate heavy metals polluted water.
