Biography
Ahmed El Mahmoudi is a professor of Applied Geophysics and currently working at Water Studies Center, King Faisl University, Saudi Arabia. He awarded his Ph. D in "Applied Geophysics" in 1995 from Wales University/UK and Mansoura University/Egypt according to Channel System of Egyptian Universities. He worked at Mansoura university/Egypt (from 1985 to 2000) and UAE University (from 2000 to 2006) before joining King Faisl University, kSA, in 2006. Ahmed El Mahmoudi served as a Principal and Co-Investigator for many funded research projects in the field of Engineering and environmental Geophysics and water resources, in the Editorial board and as a Referee to many Scientific International Journals. He also served as acting Chair for Geology Dept., UAE University & as Vice Director of Water studies Centre, King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia. He did many scientific consultations for many Ministries in UAE, Egypt & Saudi Arabia and for International Organization like FAO and for International Companies like Schlumberger. His research interest is in the field of "Engineering and environmental Geophysics". He published more than fifty papers in the referred Journal and in the proceedings of International conferences. He awarded some incentive prizes for his scientific activities. He has also supervised Eleven PhD and M Sc. students in the field of Applied Geophysics and water resources.

Engineering , Environmental, Agricultural Geophysics and Archaeogeophysics, Implementing new modern geophysical techniques in Agriculture (Agricultural Geophysics, Geophysical prospecting for Groundwater in Arid regions, Salt-water intrusions and Karst mapping, Locating of Landfill sites in the different geological environments, Geophysical prospecting for petroleum and natural gas.
