Biography
Yoko Ota is the distinguished chair professor of department of Geoscience at National Taiwan University. She has done her BS from Tokyo University of Literature and Science in the year of 1952 and PhD in geography from Tokyo University of Education in 1960. She has many experiences in the field of Geography form many reputed Universities. She has won many awards from many Geological Societies like Japanese Geographical Society, International Union for Quaternary Research and many more. She has more than 95 Publications in different scientific journals and books.

Tectonic geomorphology and Quaternary tectonics and sea level changes in the Japanese Islands and circum Pacific areas (Taiwan, Korea, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Americas)
